Conservative resurrection

It’s called political slight of hand, I guess. I just named it.
This is where the conservative numbers are up, conservative politicians are winning, the magician’s assistant on stage is waving her gaunt arms over the black hat and everyone knows the country is dissatisfied with the hopeychange illusion, yet there is Nancy Pelosi and Rahm Emanuel and the Chosen One himself saying, “Look over here! Not there. Watch my head as I light if on fire to distract you from rising unemployment rates, dying soldiers, increasing taxes, and a health care bill better served as shredded confetti in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.”
Republicans didn’t win last night. Conservatives did. The election that could have scooted along quietly on it’s local buttocks, took off streaking across the national field in a naked display of core conservative values.
Elvis is dead, my friends. Reagan, however, is very much alive.
I’ll leave you with a beautiful quote from El Rushbo today that made sense of the smoke and mirrors:
