Burka Barbie Just In Time For Christmas

Introducing Burka Barbie; what’s next, Jihad Ken? In an auction for “Save the Children” this specially made Barbie is going to be auctioned off. Good luck with that one.
The Burka Barbie is being auctioned off in accordance with Barbie’s 50th anniversary. Sorry but I just don’t see how highlighting women who for the most part are treated like second class citizens and who are not even afforded the most basic of human rights can in anyway bring a positive light to one of the world’s most iconic figures. From the UK Daily Mail:
Barbie was first launched in March 1959 by American businesswoman Ruth Handler. The doll was joined by her long-term boyfriend Ken in 1961.
Rosie Shannon, from Save the Children, said all the proceeds from the auction will go to the charity.
She said: ‘We are delighted Sotheby’s and the designer chose to auction the burka Barbie dolls for our charity.’
The money will go towards the Rewrite the Future campaign which helps millions of children around the world effected by conflict.
That’s good, because the majority of countries in which women wear burka’s is in some state of conflict. Maybe the money raised by Burka Barbie will go towards Islamo Fascist thugs resolving those conflicted areas of the world.
It used to be that Barbie wasn’t anatomically correct or that she made little girls feel bad if they weren’t as skinny as her. Burka Barbie is the ultimate form of payback for 50 years of unmet expectations.

My guess is ariel that you’ll have to buy the Burka Barbie, take it home and remove the Burka to find out what’s underneath. Sorry, I had too. Don’t most kids take the dolls clothes off anyway?

This has got to be the most idiotic thing I think I have ever seen……who is responsible for this. If it’s the maker of Barbie, let them not sell another Barbie doll……………ever.

Hey you know Chip you could be onto something, maybe a whole line of Arab Sheik Ken Dolls with a harem of Burka Barbies. You could also throw in a line of Hamas suicide bomber Ken’s, maybe an Ahmadinejad doll or even a Osama doll who makes videos to send to Al-Jazeera.

Another thought is …since kids always take the clothes off of their dolls anyway, if a Muslim girl got this doll and decided to change it’s clothes….what would happen…I shudder at the thought….these dolls were manufactired under the guise of being auctioned to raise money for save the children…how sad…how ironic…how wrong…

I spent 5 years living in Saudi Arabia where it was mandatory for all women to wear the black abaya and head scarf when ever we were in public. So to see Matel offering this barbie infuriates me. Muslim women in the United States MIGHT choose to wear these coverings (or maybe their husbands insist), but the women in Saudi Arabia have NO CHOICE as it is MANDATORY. This “fashion” is a religious Islamic Doctrine of oppression and shame enforced by Muslim extremists and the Taliban….SHAME on Mattel. Wake up America!

Okay I definately DO NOT like that fact that Barbie made these dolls, BUT maybe just maybe & I am hoping that this is the reason why they made the doll…..The idiotic fathers and law obeying mothers wanted a doll that their kids could play with since Barbie does not cover up enough…. YEA I know I am going to be bashed for this but it is possible …. I doubt it but Im just trying to shed a different light on the subject.

BUT….There is only one lens through which one can look at this and that is reflected in the comments above your own. These people are radical and everything they stand for breed hate not peace, not innocence, when their children are old enough to hold a Russian AK47 in their little hands, they are taught very skillfully how to use it to kill Christians and Jews and any person who does not believe as they do – but if given a choice, shoot the Jew first, Christian second and anybody else you can pick off third.
The creation of this doll flies in the face of everything that this country stands for and that our brave men & women throughout the years have fought and died for – FREEDOM – our freedom to live peacefully without opression, without reprisal for our beliefes. Ironic how these same freedoms allow these terrorists to take away our freedoms little by little on our own soil.
I know that your comment was made with the very best of intentions…but the road to HELL was paved with good intentions…
Also one parting thought – for hundreds of years people believed that the world was flat
